It’s a strange world we live in. On the one hand we have four million Zimbabweans who have “relocated” to South Africa as a result of the bad conditions in Zimbabwe. On the other hand we have droves of people leaving South Africa due to the conditions prevailing here.

Immigration agents, mover and transport companies have their hands full. At the same time no space can be found in the commercial storage facilities. This tells me that many of the emigrants are keeping the back door open for their return, should sanity be restored in Eden.

I know many of these people who decided to leave South Africa. They find it extremely hard to leave everything behind and to try and make a new beginning elsewhere. I am quite certain that it will take little convincing  to get them to return one day. In body and soul they remain part of this country, this people and the heritage that brought us all to this point.

This made me wonder whether there was anything that we could do to help them to ease their lives during exile?
